The Department for Professional Development seeks to support educational institutions in order to help them face the challenges that come from working to achieve the best quality level possible, both in the general areas and in the area of Jewish studies. The Department recognizes that:
- Teachers are the main participants in this process and they must get the necessary support in order to raise the quality of the education that their students get.
- Research is necessary to diagnose problems, make decisions, and design new plans of action that lead to a better quality of education in an institution.
- Developing professional leadership is essential.
- It is crucial to contribute to the development of core values as well as to a professional future for those graduating from school.
